Receive your master's degree in counseling from a part-time program that offers all the benefits of a full-time experience.
Drake University's Master of Science (MS) in Counseling program includes specializations in clinical mental health counseling, rehabilitation, and school counseling. MS in counseling students will interact with and learn from expert faculty who are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service to the profession. In addition to coursework and professional experiences, as a student you can bolster your resume through participation in research projects overseen by Drake faculty, through publication of research, or through attendance at state and national conferences.
The program is designed for working adults. Classes are held on Drake University's campus on evenings and weekends, so you can continue to work full time while you complete your degree. Click here for program options.
All specializations within the Master of Science in Counseling are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
The Drake School of Education offers several opportunities to help defer the costs of your education. The counseling program is honored to offer two scholarships for students pursuing School Counseling with the generous gifts from our donors. Additionally, we have scholarship opportunities through a federal grant for students pursuing Rehabilitation Counseling. See our scholarship page for more information.
